TPM Attestation Not Ready, FACEIT AC.

TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC is an error that can stop FACEIT Anti-Cheat from launching or working correctly. In our case, FACEIT AC kept complaining about TPM attestation even though TPM was already enabled in Windows and the system was running on an ASUS AMD motherboard.

After trying multiple fixes, we managed to solve the issue by updating Windows, enabling Device Health Attestation, clearing TPM, updating the BIOS, disabling and resetting fTPM, power cycling the PC, and then reinstalling FACEIT Anti-Cheat.

This guide explains exactly what worked for us. The steps below are mainly based on an ASUS motherboard with an AMD CPU, but some of the Windows steps may also help other systems with the same FACEIT AC TPM Attestation Not Ready error.

How to Fix TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC

Before starting, make sure you follow the steps carefully. Clearing TPM and updating BIOS can affect security keys and system settings, so only continue if you understand the risk. If you use BitLocker or device encryption, make sure you have your recovery key saved before clearing TPM or changing BIOS settings.

Step 1: Install Every Windows Update

  1. Open Windows Settings.
  2. Go to Windows Update.
  3. Download and install every update available for your system.
  4. Restart your PC if Windows asks you to.

This is important because FACEIT AC relies on Windows security features, TPM, and device health checks. If your system is missing updates, TPM attestation may fail even if TPM is enabled.

Step 2: Uninstall FACEIT Anti-Cheat

  1. Uninstall FACEIT AC from Windows.
  2. After uninstalling FACEIT Anti-Cheat, reboot your PC.

Do not reinstall FACEIT AC yet. Continue with the next steps first.

Step 3: Enable Device Health Attestation Service

Open Command Prompt as Administrator. To do this, search for CMD, right-click it, and choose Run as administrator.

Paste this command and press Enter:

reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\DeviceHealthAttestationService" /v EnableDeviceHealthAttestationService /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

After that, paste this command and press Enter:

gpupdate /target:computer /force

Once both commands have finished, reboot your PC.

Step 4: Download the Latest BIOS Version

Now download the latest BIOS version for your motherboard from the official motherboard support page. Put the BIOS file on a USB stick, because you will need it later inside the BIOS.

For ASUS motherboards, you will usually use the ASUS EZ Flash Utility inside BIOS to update the BIOS.

Step 5: Clear TPM in Windows

  1. Open Windows Search.
  2. Type tpm.msc and open it.
  3. In the top-right corner, click Clear TPM.
  4. Press Restart when Windows asks you to.

After the restart, continue with the BIOS steps below.

BIOS Fix for TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC

The next part is what finally fixed the TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC issue for us on an ASUS AMD board.

Step 6: Disable fTPM in BIOS

  1. Enter your BIOS.
  2. Go to the Advanced section.
  3. Find fTPM and disable it.
  4. Press F10, select OK, and save the setting.
  5. Boot back into the BIOS again.

Do not go straight back into Windows yet. After disabling fTPM, return to the BIOS so you can update it.

Step 7: Update BIOS with ASUS EZ Flash Utility

  1. Inside BIOS, open the ASUS EZ Flash Utility.
  2. Select the BIOS file you saved on your USB stick.
  3. Flash your BIOS to the latest version.
  4. Wait until the BIOS update is fully complete.
  5. Let the PC boot normally into Windows after the update.

Do not turn off your PC during the BIOS update. Wait until the process is finished and the computer restarts by itself.

Step 8: Clear TPM Again After the BIOS Update

  1. Once you are back in Windows, open Windows Search again.
  2. Type tpm.msc.
  3. Click Clear TPM in the top-right corner.
  4. Press Restart.

This second TPM clear was important in our case. After updating the BIOS, clearing TPM again helped reset the TPM state properly.

Step 9: Fully Power Cycle the PC

  1. Once your PC is back in Windows, shut it down completely.
  2. On the back of the computer, flip the power switch off.
  3. Remove the power cord.
  4. Hold the front power button for 15 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back in.
  6. Flip the power switch back on.
  7. Turn on your PC normally.

This is a full power cycle. It helps clear leftover motherboard and TPM state after changing fTPM and updating BIOS.

Step 10: Reinstall FACEIT AC

  1. Download the latest version of FACEIT AC.
  2. Install FACEIT Anti-Cheat again.
  3. Restart your PC if required.
  4. Launch FACEIT AC and check if the TPM error is gone.

After doing all of the steps above, FACEIT AC stopped complaining about TPM attestation for us.

TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC Troubleshooting Checklist

If TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC still appears after following the main steps, go through this quick checklist before reinstalling FACEIT Anti-Cheat again.

  • TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC can happen when Windows updates are missing.
  • TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC can happen when AMD fTPM is disabled after a BIOS update.
  • TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC can happen when TPM was not cleared after changing BIOS settings.
  • TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC can happen when FACEIT AC was installed before the TPM reset was completed.

For us, the error only disappeared after Windows updates, TPM clearing, BIOS updating, fTPM checking, power cycling, and reinstalling FACEIT Anti-Cheat were all completed in order.

Final Result

If you are getting the TPM Attestation Not Ready FACEIT AC error, the fix is not always just enabling TPM in BIOS. In our case, the working solution was a full reset process: update Windows, enable Device Health Attestation, clear TPM, update BIOS, reset fTPM, power cycle the PC, and reinstall FACEIT Anti-Cheat.

This fixed the issue on our ASUS AMD motherboard. If FACEIT AC is still showing the TPM attestation error after this, double-check that TPM 2.0 or AMD fTPM is enabled in BIOS, Windows is fully updated, and FACEIT AC has been freshly installed after completing the BIOS and TPM steps.

FACEIT AC should now stop complaining about TPM Attestation Not Ready.
